Escape Technology is a developer of business software for school districts and community colleges. Escape's Customer Care team is responsible for installation, training, documentation and on-going support of customers.
The Customer Care Representative is a position in the Customer Care department, providing help desk support of Escape software for existing customers and providing some technical support for Escape outside reps and sales staff during the implementation of Escape software at customer offices.
Primary Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities of the Customer Care Representative are:
- Apply problem solving skills to resolve problems and answer customer questions via telephone, modem or internet on a timely basis.
- Update/configure software on customer databases via remote access or electronic distribution.
- Provide technical support for implementation, training and sales staff when necessary.
Other Responsibilities
Other responsibilities of this position are:
- Assist with testing as coordinated with QA staff.
- Participation in user conferences, inservices, user groups.
- Documentation as coordinated with Education Services.
- Distribution of all required materials for software implementations and updates.
- Participation in Customer training as needed.
Qualifications
- Education - Four-year degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
- Professional Experience - Experience in use, support and training of integrated accounting/human resources software systems. Experience in the public sector (such as State or County government or a school district) is a help.
- Computer Knowledge - Experience with and good knowledge of Microsoft application suite. Experience writing technical documentation, testing and test procedures, training of software products.
- Excellent oral, writing, and project management skills are required.
- Must touch type minimum 40 words per minute.
Salary and Benefits
This is an exempt, salaried position. Salaries at Escape are commensurate with experience. Full benefits are provided, including medical and dental coverage, retirement, major holidays and vacation. This position is located in the company headquarters in Roseville, but requires some travel to customer sites.
