On-Site Training Checklist

There are a number of things that an organization can do to ensure that On-Site Training will be successful. To help organize this process, this FYI is arranged in a timeline, starting with the day that training is scheduled. There are also items to be done one week prior to the training, the day before training, and on training day. If you have any questions about On-Site Training, from scheduling to preparation, please call Escape Customer Care, 1-800-288-8076 or Email: support@escapetech.com

When Training is Scheduled

Items to complete at the time training is scheduled:

  • Reserve the Room.
Also reserve any special equipment that will be used (i.e. projector).
  • Notify All Attendees.
Notify participants of date and time, and specify any special materials they should have with them for training.
  • Send Trainer Directions to Training Facility.
  • Send Trainer Participant List.
The list should include the users job title and experience level with Escape. If this training is hands on, make sure there are never more than two participants per workstation.

One Week Prior to Training

Any time during the week prior to training:

  • Copy Production Database to the Test System.
This will ensure that the training will occur with recent information.
  • Verify Escape User Ids.
Each participant should have a USER ID, with the correct role, in the training database.
  • Send Agenda to Attendees and Trainer.

The Day Before Training

Test your training room:

  • Each Workstation Attaches to the Network.
Also, the workstation should show an Id for participants to use, if they won't use their normal network ID.
  • Workstations Have an Icon to Run Escape.
Each workstation HAS BEEN successfully signed into the software!
  • Workstations have Printer Set Up.
Test to ensure that the workstations can access printer.
  • Trainer Workstation is Ready.
Test that it has been connected to the projector, and tested in Escape software.

Other tasks:

  • Confirm Training With Trainer.
  • Training Handouts.
If training handouts have been delivered, have them ready in training room. If the organization will be providing handouts, they should be ready to go, in the room.

  • Sign-in Sheet is in the Training Room.

Training Day

One hour before training, check your training room:

  • IT Contact.
The IT contact should be available at start of day in case there are any questions or problems.
  • Escape Contact.
The Escape contact should participate in all training sessions, to clarify the procedures where questions arise.
