Upload Files to Escape's FTP Using Internet Explorer
This document describes how to upload files to Escape's FTP site using Internet Explorer.
Using Internet Explorer v5 to Upload via FTP
You can only upload files to the Escape FTP. For security purposes, you cannot download or open any file once it has been uploaded to our FTP.
If you have Internet Explorer version 5 or later, uploading a file to the Escape FTP site is easy. Here are the steps:
- Copy the desired file to your Windows clipboard. An easy way to do this is to highlight the file, then press CTRL-C.
- Point your Internet Explorer Browser to ftp://www.escapetech.com.
- Click on the File menu and choose Login As. (If this is not available, click on the Page button and select Open FTP Site in Windows Explorer. Within Windows Explorer right click and choose Login As.)
- Use the following login to our FTP Site. We do not allow anonymous logins.
- The id is: customers
- The password is: thanks
- Click on the INCOMING folder.
- Click on your district's folder.
- Next, right click anywhere in the browser's window and choose the option "Paste."
- Now click the refresh button on your browser to verify that the file was copied properly.
If problems occur, or you get an error message then your network may have security measures in place that are preventing this feature from working. If this is the case, then consult your network systems administrator.
